Who we are

• The purpose of this club is to support the boys’ and girls’ Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) sanctioned athletic programs at Atascocita High School.  In all matters in support of this purpose, this club must adhere to the UIL guidelines. 

• Sports Representative’s play a key role for the varsity, junior varsity, sophomore, and freshman level.  Their duties are to represent their grade level by coordinating their banquets and membership drives, promoting the annual fundraising, assisting the coaches, attending the monthly Booster Club meetings, and any other responsibilities that their grade level deems necessary.

·          All requests for funds from individual sports are presented to the athletic coordinator who in turn directs the requests to the Executive Board.  The Executive Board then decides if the request is within UIL guidelines and is feasible to make such expenditures.   To date, the AHS Booster Club has not denied any requests that have been presented.

What we do for Atascocita High School Athletics Program

·         The Booster Club provides 21 scholarships to eligible seniors playing varsity sports.  Each year a $1,000 scholarship is awarded to senior varsity members in each of 20-varsity sport organizations at Atascocita High School.  In 2008 an additional scholarship was added for senior managers and trainers.  Scholarships applications are due by March 1, 2009.  Applications can be picked up at the athletic office or downloaded from the Booster Club website at www.ahsathleticsboosterclub.org.

·         The Booster Club designs and coordinates the Athletic Programs that highlight each of the teams with pictures and schedules three times a year.  The Booster Club markets to local businesses for support raising $39,000+ in advertising, allowing the sale of the programs to only $5.

·         The Booster Club promoted the Football playoff season by printing a special Playoff Program and Playoff t-shirt to promote the winning season and school spirit.

·         A special edition of the program was printed for the Homecoming Game highlighting the events.

·         The Booster Club provides $10 per athlete in each sport for banquets.

·         The Booster Club promotes Eagle Spirit with t-shirts, sweatshirts, blankets, hats, lanyards, shirts, pants, shorts, sport signs, sport stickers, eagle stickers, cups, seat cushions, jackets, etc.

·         The Booster Club developed and promoted the Eagle cards as a major fall fund-raiser for the Athletes raising more than $34,000.

·         The Booster Club stepped in and provided transportation funding to the Band and the Patriettes to away football games when the District made budget cut.
